RCS: Rotator Cuff Syndrome: Evidence based Applications for Primary and Secondary Impingement
Designed to demonstrate innovative treatment planning in functional rehabilitation of the upper kinetic chain with evidence based interventions. Learn to assess and treat rotator cuff injuries with treatment strategies based on the latest research and literature. With hands on lab sessions you will return to your practice with new and practical skills that are immediately applicable for improved patient outcomes.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to independently describe the function of the rotator cuff
By the end of the course, participants will be able to independently perform four manual therapy techniques to improve scapulo-humeral movement.
By the end of the course, participants will be able design a progressive 3-step criterion based exercise progression for a rotator cuff repair in the geriatric patient.
By the end of the course, given a case study, participants will be able to appropriately modify an exercise program
By the end of the course, participants will be able to independently perform an upper quarter screen
By the end of the course, participants will be able to perform 3 mobilization techniques to the glenohumeral joint.
