Christina Myers


PT, DPT

Dr. Chris Myers is the Director of Continuing Education and an instructor with Upstream Rehab Institute’s Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency, OMPT Fellowship, and continuing education programs.  She received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Elon College, her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is currently a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy candidate with Bellin College where she is researching the correlation between therapeutic alliance and outcomes as well as opioid use post-lumbar surgery.  Dr. Myers completed fellowship training with Evidence in Motion and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.  She is also a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) and certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert. MDT). Dr. Myers is the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at South College in Knoxville, TN.  She continues to present at both national and state level conferences annually as well as teaching numerous continuing education courses throughout the country.
